Chamber Business Spotlight: Donalsonville News

September 9, 2020

Good Morning!

This week the Donalsonville-Seminole County Chamber of Commerce shines the “Spotlight” on the community’s source for news and information since 1916, the Donalsonville News!

Located at 216 Cherry St., the Donalsonville News has been a part of the lives of residents here in Donalsonville and Seminole County for over 100 years, and it is still keeping readers informed and up-to-date on news relating to the community, while also keeping local citizens inspired as well as entertained by the regular columns published – weekly in its printed newspaper and daily at donalsonvillenews.com

Businesses can advertise their products and services to an engaged readership of subscribers, newsstand and vendor patrons. The classifieds and public notices, a favorite section of Chamber President Sarah Avery, can help one find yard sales, used cars and trucks, and show who needs volunteers here in the area. “We can learn about foreclosures, tax sales, new liquor licenses and much more! The Donalsonville News covers our births, graduations, weddings, deaths, and more. We are looking forward to a new century being chronicled in our hometown newspaper,” commented Avery.

In addition to submitting news and advertising, stop by the Donalsonville News and ask David to give you a tour of the newspaper’s museum. The collection includes old photos, articles, and machinery from the paper’s first century in operation.

If you are interested in joining the Chamber of Commerce or you have questions about the Chamber and what we do, call or come by and speak with Sarah or Kadie . The Chamber, located at 122 E. Second Street in downtown Donalsonville, is open Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., and can be reached by phone at (229) 524-2588.
