2026 Chamber Monthly Newsletter: July Edition

June 30, 2026

Good Morning, Members!

Can you believe the year is halfway over already? Time flies when you are having fun, which we have been here at the Chamber! The first half of 2026 proved to be a busy one, starting with the Chamber’s annual banquet, farmers appreciation luncheon, hosted the Regional STAR Student/Teacher Luncheon, held a successful Miss Seminole pageant, and once again we put on the biggest rodeo yet back in April! Most recently we sponsored/hosted the GA BASS Nation JR/HS State Classic Tournament, which brought in 1000+ visitors to our community for the week. We have also welcomed a few new Chamber members, and have hosted a couple of ribbon cuttings with another scheduled soon! We are thankful to have been able to play a role in so much thus far, and appreciate the community’s support.

Coming up on July 20th is a class for Marketing 101. We are partnering with the UGA SBDA, Donalsonville Downtown Development Authority, and the Development Authority of Donalsonville/Seminole County to hold this class at the Lions Hall from 11:30 am – 1 pm. There is no cost for the class and lunch will be provided!

The Chamber’s next big event we are now planning for is the 2026 Donalsonville/Seminole County Harvest Festival, set for October 17th, 2026. We can’t wait for the event this year, which will include the Rejoice Run, annual parade, local entertainment, arts & crafts vendors, an art show, farm tour on Oct. 15th, children’s activities, a recipe contest also on Oct. 15th, and more! It was so popular last year, we will be bringing back the photo contest in July, where the winning agricultural photo will be featured on the back of the 2026 festival t-shirts! We will announce our featured entertainer soon! Make plans to join us at the Harvest Festival on the third Saturday in October!

Make sure to check out the community events section of this newsletter, as there are still so many fun, local events that are going on this summer! As always, if you have any questions regarding the Chamber or any Chamber events, feel free to reach out!
