Good Afternoon, Members!
Spring is almost here, which means our busy season here at the Chamber has begun! Last month, we wrapped up our 2023 – 2024 Youth Leadership program, and also held our annual Farmers Appreciation luncheon that is sponsored by Southwest Georgia Farm Credit. We also recently sponsored the GA Bass Nation High School fishing tournament that was held in February.
We are in full swing with planning for the 2024 Boots & Roots Rodeo on April 26-27! The Chamber has once again contracted with current All Around World Champion Justin Thigpen of T – T Rodeo Company that will feature Calf Roping, Steer Wrestling. Saddle Bronc Riding, Barrel Racing. Team Roping, Bull Riding, Bareback Riding, Calf Scramble, Cowgirl Breakaway Roping, Diamond Dash, and Clowns. Tickets are on sale now at the Chamber, Donalsonville News, Lake Seminole Outdoors, and First Port City Bank.
We have also begun planning for the 2024-2025 Youth Leadership Program sponsored by First Port City Bank. Nominations for upcoming Juniors and Seniors for the program are now open, and will be open through the end of March.
Other community events coming up include the Firehouse BBQ Festival on March 16th, the DDA Hop N Shop event on March 30th, and the Lakeside Festival & Team Bass Tournament on May 4th.
