Good Morning, Members! As you all know, we began planning for the Harvest Festival back in June, and we are excited to unveil a slightly new look for this year’s event! The Donalsonville-Seminole County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce a refreshed — yet nostalgic — layout for the annual Harvest Festival, held each year on the third Saturday in October. This year’s event, set for October 18th, 2025, will blend cherished traditions from the past with the energy of the present, creating a memorable experience for the whole community. After reviewing past festivals and recognizing a few areas where congestion affected the flow and enjoyment of the event, the Chamber, with full support from the City of Donalsonville, the Chamber Board of Directors, and GDOT, decided it was time to make a change — by going back to a layout that worked exceptionally well in the late 1980s – 1990s.Inspired by photos of large crowds and strong community involvement from those earlier years, we’re excited to bring back a layout that encourages both movement & connection:– Wiley Avenue (between First and Second Streets) will feature a wide variety of children’s activities and games.– West Second Street will be lined with arts & crafts vendors, offering unique handmade goods and local artistry.– Food vendors will be conveniently located in the parking lot between the Post Office and Three Notch– Live entertainment at the gazebo in City Park is making a comebackParade Route UpdateWith Wiley Avenue closed off for festival activities, the parade route will shift slightly this year. Rather than ending at First Street, the parade will now conclude on East Second Street — following the same ending as the Spirit of Christmas Parade. This change gives spectators the perfect opportunity to enjoy the parade as it winds through the heart of downtown. While you’re waiting for the parade to roll through, we encourage you to explore and support our wonderful downtown businesses — do a little shopping, and soak in the festive atmosphere. We can’t wait to celebrate with you on October 18th, 2025, and make this year’s Harvest Festival one for the books. In the meantime, don’t forget to check out other local events that are going on, starting with Alf‘s Farm and Garden’s Farmers Market this Saturday, September 6th! As always, if you have any questions regarding the Chamber or any Chamber events, or would like to volunteer in any way, feel free to reach out! ... See MoreSee Less
