The Donalsonville/Seminole County Chamber of Commerce was proud to sponsor the Georgia B.A.S.S. Nation Junior/High School State Championship Classic, that took place in Seminole County on June 12–13. 137 boats participated in this premier tournament, and brought an estimated 1,000+ visitors to Seminole County throughout the week that provided a significant boost to our local community.
Our two Seminole County teams that competed represented our county very well — one team competed in the Junior Division and one in the High School Division. The Junior Division team even placed 6th in the State Classic Tournament. The High school team featured Lyndon Touchton and Reed Phillips, with their boat captain being Blaine Touchton. The Junior team was Liam Shingler and Wes Walker, with SCMHS fishing coach Brandon Ingram as the Junior Boat Captain. The Chamber is proud of our local teams. Shoutout to Signs & Stuff for providing gift bags full of fishing gear for our local anglers.
Georgia B.A.S.S. Nation is the official Georgia affiliate sanctioned by B.A.S.S. and is recognized as the state’s leading bass fishing organization. Members must be at least 16 years old and maintain memberships with B.A.S.S., B.A.S.S. Nation, and Georgia B.A.S.S. Nation.
We were thrilled to welcome all anglers, coaches, families, and supporters to Seminole County and appreciate GA BASS Nation for choosing Lake Seminole as their JR/HS State Championship Classic location!
