May is gone, and summer is around the corner!
The Chamber is excited to be sponsoring the GA BASS Nation HS/JR State Classic right here in Donalsonville on June 12-13, 2026 at Reynolds Landing. There will be over 120 boats participating in this tournament, which means we will have lots of visitors down here in Seminole County for a week! We also have 2 local teams competing, so we wish them luck!
While we do not have too many Chamber events coming up in June, there is still plenty for the community to participate in, starting with the Farmers Market at Alf’s Farm & Garden, this Saturday, June 6th from 10am-2pm. Chamber member Othell’s is also having a 1 year celebration on June 6th from 11am-2pm, so make sure to stop by and show your support! June 12th at Graceful Oaks will feature a popup event with Southern Sips Lemonade. Be sure to take your children to the Seminole County Public Library for all of their fun activities they have going on this summer. Also, do not miss an opportunity to take your child to visit the Seminole Co. Literacy Bus, which will be making stops throughout town during the month of June!
The Chamber is also planning a class with the UGA SBDC coming up in July, so stay tuned for more details to come. Also coming in July is the Lakeside Festival, a new event that will bring fireworks and fun to Reynolds Landing on July 4th, 2026. We are currently looking for vendors for this event, so if you or someone you know is interested, have them reach out to the Chamber!
The Chamber’s next major event we are now planning for, will be the 2026 Donalsonville/Seminole County Harvest Festival, set for October 17th, 2026. We can’t wait for the event this year, which will include the farm tour, local entertainment, arts & crafts vendors, an art show, children’s activities, a recipe contest, and more! Our ag photo/t-shirt contest was such a hit last year, we plan to do it again so go ahead and be taking some good quality ag photos to enter into the contest! Stay tuned in the coming months for more Harvest Festival information!
