Meet the Chamber Board: Marian Hunter
Marian Hodges Hunter is the daughter of Benny and Sharon Hodges. Her paternal grandparents are Dan White, former Seminole County Sheriff, and Marguerite White, while her maternal grandparents are Junior and Joan Widner. Marian grew up in Donalsonville and graduated from Seminole County High School in 1992. She attended the University of Georgia from 1993 to 1994, where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. In August 2000, she graduated from Wallace Community College with a degree in nursing.
Marian is married to Scott Hunter of Columbia, Alabama. Together, they have three children: Madison, a member of the Class of 2022; Anna Reese, currently in 9th grade and a member of the Varsity Softball team; and Bristol, who is currently in the 5th grade. Marian has worked in various fields of nursing throughout her career but found her true calling in long-term care at Seminole Manor Care Community. She has served there for 19 years—16 of those as a Registered Nurse and MDS Coordinator, and the past 3 years as the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
Marian has served on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for the past three years, playing an active and valuable role in both the leadership of the Chamber and its events. She has been deeply involved not only in Chamber business but also in the planning and execution of numerous community events, demonstrating her commitment to the Chamber’s mission and the local community. Her contributions have been instrumental in the success of the Annual Banquet, Business After Hours gatherings, and the Harvest Festival. We are grateful for her continued support, dedication, and unwavering commitment to serving our community.
