Good Morning!
The Donalsonville/Seminole County Chamber of Commerce would like to thank everyone who came out to support the 2025 Boots and Roots Rodeo on April 25th and 26th. The Chamber contracted once again with rodeo celebrity and all around world rodeo champion Justin Thigpen and T-T Rodeo Company, who brought a weekend of family friendly fun, featuring Calf Roping, Steer Wrestling, Saddle Bronc Riding, Barrel Racing, Team Roping, Bull Riding, Bareback Riding, Calf Scramble, Cowgirl Breakaway Roping, and the popular Diamond Dash. Featured entertainment included trick roper Cooper Nastri and 11 year old Rodeo clown, Slade Thigpen. The event was our most attended rodeo yet, with well over 2,000 in attendance throughout the weekend. On Friday night, the SCES singers did a great job with the National Anthem, as well as Kynia Blake on Saturday night. Named as a salute to Seminole County’s farmers and agri-businesses, the Boots & Roots Rodeo benefits the local Chamber of Commerce and the youth of our community, as a portion of proceeds is donated to them. Go ahead and mark your calendars for April 24-25, 2026 for what will be our 10th annual rodeo!
The Rodeo may be over now but May features several upcoming events as well! This Saturday, May 3rd is the County Bass Tournament down at Reynold’s Landing! Also on May 3rd is the Farmers Market downtown at Alf’s Farm & Garden so be sure to check that event out as well! Sunday, May 4th is Chamber member Firehouse Subs’ Touch a Truck Event at 1:00 pm. The Chamber will also host a ribbon cutting ceremony at the event at 1:30 pm. The McFadden Welcome Center Ribbon Cutting is May 15th, and their trails open on May 16th! As usual, if you have any questions regarding the Chamber of Commerce, feel free to reach out!
Thank you!
