This week, the Chamber is spotlighting

Shingler and McMillan, LLC!
Billy Shingler and Douglas McMillan, who became friends from their college days at Valdosta State University, teamed up and founded a general practice law firm in April, 2017. They handle everything from misdemeanor and felony criminal offenses and family law litigation, to property closings, estate planning, contract disputes, personal injury, civil litigation, and business law.
Billy is a native of Donalsonville and Seminole County. He is the son of the late Judge William “Bill” Shingler, Sr. and Dell Shingler, of Donalsonville. Billy is married to Meredith Shingler, who is the Seminole County Middle School Counselor. Billy and Meredith have one son, Tre, who is two years old. Billy graduated from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, and his practice primarily focuses on DUI law, traffic violations, felony offenses, and family law.
Douglas McMillan is a native of Bainbridge and Decatur County. He is the son of Greg McMillan and Teresa Kelley Phillips. Douglas is married to Kayla McMillan. Kayla is a special education teacher at Decatur County High School. They have two children, John Harlan and Eisley Claire. Douglas graduated from the Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, and his practice primarily focuses on wills, trusts, and estates, as well as business and contract law.
Taylor Birdsong is the office manager and lead legal assistant at Shingler & McMillan, LLC. She is a native of Bainbridge and Decatur County, and is married to Perry Birdsong, also of Bainbridge. They have two children, Jackson and Jake. Taylor is tasked with handling the day-to-day operations of the office, and she also prepares all of our closing documents for property sales.
Kelley Whitaker is the secretary at Shingler & McMillan, LLC. Kelley is a native of Colquitt and Miller County. She is engaged to be wed to Evan Joyner of Columbus, Georgia. Kelley is tasked with answering the phone, filing court documents, and scheduling appointments.
