This week, the Chamber is spotlighting Alf’s Farm & Garden!
Alf’s Farm and Garden, or just “Alf’s” as we locals say, has been open for business in Downtown Donalsonville since 1972. Alf’s is and has always been a family owned business located at 101 E. First Street .
We all know that when it’s gardening season or fruit tree planting time to go see Alf, Matt, Joel and the rest of the crew to get what we need from collard seeds to an Anjou Pear tree. They also carry feed for any type of farm animal and pet food and supplies. They have a new line of metal garden products that are just lovely, decorative benches, trellises, arbors, planters and ornaments. Winter shrubs are in stock and the mums are coming in for fall! These days you see some of the younger faces in the family, still helpful and knowledgeable! They are open six days a week, Monday through Friday 8:00 to 5:30 (they close at noon on Saturday).
